This was the first junco I've seen this fall. The fog made it
difficult to see the birds, and it seemed extremely quiet for the end
of September. Not sure if this was due to the fog, or conditions
generally.
Location: Huntington Hill, Hanover
Observation date: 9/25/08
Notes: I'm 90% sure it was a Hermit Thrush, although it was hard
to see the tail in the fog. Definitely not wood or veery, unlikely
to be Gray-cheeked, and didn't look buffy enough for Swainson's
Number of species: 11
