Hi Tom:

We are in a similar bind. Our Chinese instructors have told us to  
continue using the second edition audio program until the third  
edition materials are available. They said that though there are some  
differences, the majority of the material is the same or similar and  
if students encounter an exercise that is completely out of context,  
they should ignore that exercise and move on to the next. Hope this  
helps. We're anxiously awaiting the new CDs as well and hope they  
arrive soon!
