Our Chinese program has started using Integrated Chinese Level 1, Part 1,
Third edition, as the Chinese 101 textbook. The Third edition was just
published and the audio CDs to accompany the third edition have not yet been
released. The publisher's website claims that the old second edition CDs
are not compatible with the third edition. Our instructors and students are
in a bind as we have already completed three weeks of classes without the
accompanying audio materials. I'm curious as to how other institutions who
have adopted the new edition are solving this problem. I also understand
that the Level 1, Part 2 textbook and accompanying CDs are not yet ready and
we may face the same situation in the second semester for Chinese 102.

Aloha,
