The video from the award-winning French Online course at Carnegie Mellon
University is now available for separate purchase on DVD from the Oral
Language Archive. This video was shot with professional actors and video
crew on successive summers in Nantes, France. Each DVD contains scripted
communicative sketches of situations in common use in Elementary French
instruction (from talking about your family to social problems of young
adults) as well as improvised dialogues on related subjects. Each DVD covers
one semester of French Online. For further information and sample clips go
to the Oral Language Archive site at http://ml.hss.cmu.edu/mlrc/ola. The
open and free version of French Online can be found at
http://www.cmu.edu/oli/courses/french/.
