Apple recycled our entire old lab of beige G3s when we purchased new 
iMacs to replace them. I only had to supply the pallet and wrapping 
plastic, which our Facilities people gave to me, and then do the 
stacking and wrapping. With help from a few students, that took maybe 
an hour. I haven't tried the trade-in option.
