Hi Mike,
We use a Canopus ADVC 110 constantly to digitize from VHS, Laserdisc,  
DVD player and 8mm to iMovie and Final Cut Pro, with excellent  
results.  What details can you give on the problems you are having  
that make the digitized file unusable?  File size is indeed huge with  
uncompressed video, but does it need to be uncompressed for your  
purposes?
