>Subject: Foreign Language Resource Specialist position opening at Yale
>User-Agent: Internet Messaging Program (IMP) H3 (4.0.3)

Dear colleagues,

The Yale Univ. Center for Language Study is seeking a Foreign Language Resource
Specialist to act as a liaison to language faculty and other clients, which
includes offering specialized instructional and technical support to foreign
language faculty, and serving as a trainer and consultant to foreign language
faculty in the areas of language instruction and foreign language technology.
The Specialist will participate in implementation of a range of programs for
faculty and students, and provide information and advice to Yale students about
foreign language study, including language study within current university
programs as well as innovative approaches, such as independent study, study
abroad, and life-long learning. The Specialist will be a member of the Center
of Language Study (CLS) Teaching, Learning, and Research group and report to me
as the Assistant Director in charge of that group.

Note that minimum required education/experience is a Master?s degree in a
related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred: Master?s degree or Ph.D. in a related field, such as Computer
Assisted Language Learning, Instructional Technology, Foreign Language
Instruction, or Second Language Acquisition, plus two years related work
experience.

Full details on the position can be found at:

www.yale.edu/jobs.

Click ?External Candidates? on the left-hand column, click ?search
openings? and in the ?STARS Req ID? field, type in ?2879BR.?

Candidates for the position must complete the on-line application on the Human
Resources site, which includes submission of a cover letter and resume. Only
candidates screened by HR will be considered. In addition, you may want to send
a copy of the cover letter and resume to me, so I know to be on the lookout for
an HR referral.

The Center for Language Study at Yale offers an exciting and fast-paced work
environment. We value initiative and diversity. Members of any minority group
are encouraged to apply.

I would also be happy to answer any questions about the position or the CLS.

Mark
