Dear fellow LLTI forum members,

I'm writing to ask if anyone knows of software available where users
read text and highlight words/phrases to hear it spoken, view
information describing it (linguistic, socio-cultural background,
definition). We are also seeking something where teachers can insert
their own content and build variety over time.

I have found mention of something called GALT I think from Pennsylvania
State University in 1998 but can't find it on the site any more - nor
the person who wrote the article in LL&T journal, and something for
Latin at Cambridge University which is created with pre-determined text
and no sound and in commercialisation process.

Also, any quizzes/activities (like Hot Potatoes) which allows users to
be given a hint before they choose their answer?

Thanks in advance! It's an interesting job.

Cheers
Shannon
