have you thought about using a free online voiceboard, such as chinswing?

Recording would be browser-based and you could eliminate one step. It would
also enable you to connect with native speakers. In my German course this
semester, we've already had several posts from people that are not part of
the class. It really energized the students.

And an RSS feed is automatically generated, allowing you to subscribe to
discussions as Podcasts.

Of course if you prefer a closed system this would not be an option.

You might also look into yackpack; unfortunately they have started charging
a fee a while ago, but it might well be worth it.
