Hello!

Here are some sources:
http://www.seasite.niu.edu/Indonesian/Default.htm
** all sorts of resources, including "learn Indonesian in 7 days"
http://www.groups.yahoo.com/groups/warung_sate_kambing
** email group for learners of Indonesian and Indonesian learners of
English
http://indodic.com/langlearn.html
** various linguistic things

Some more sites I just googled
http://www.hello-indonesia.com/HelloIndonesia/Language.htm
http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Indonesian (! wikipedia online instruction)

These are all at the basic introductory level.

A site about living in Indonesia
http://www.expat.or.id/

Many school textbooks come out of Australia where IndonesianFL is taught
more across school systems, I'm guessing, than other countries, such as
* Kenalilah
* Bagus Sekali series
* Keren
(further information can be found through google search)

There's a start.

Can anyone recommend materials (books, CDs, videos, etc) for studying
Bahasa? A faculty member wants to do research in Indonesia and needs to

pick up some language skills.

You can reply to me off the mailing list at [log in to unmask]

Thanks.
