Dear Colleagues,

Are any of you using a slingbox to broadcast your international
programs, e.g., TV5, RAI, over your college network? If you are
unfamiliar with this system as I was, you use a coaxial cable to attach
the slingbox broadcaster to your satellite rack output and connect the
slingbox via a LAN cable to the network. Only computers that have
special software installed on them can receive the programming.

My local satellite vendor tells me that as long as this is limited to
academic areas and not used for entertainment purposes that this is
acceptable. I'm wondering if any of you have experience with this?
