Hey there,

We've done some Flash development over the last 4 years or so, when time
permits.

You might check out the interactive Kiowa legend that we produced for
some of the Native American language students here at OU:
http://mllab.ou.edu/languages/?id=362 (click on "Animated Stories" and
then select "The Legend of the Star Girls: Full Animation").

We also use Flash for some of our regular webpage functions, like
browsing and searching the current foreign film library from either the
website or a kiosk that we installed earlier last year. That can be
viewed here:
http://mllab.ou.edu/media/

We're also looking into moving all of our streaming video content over
from Helix DNA server to FLV (Flash video). Here's an example of
streaming flv in action: http://mllab.ou.edu/services/

Good luck and have fun!

John

Hello,

I have developed a few applications using Flash and Flash Media Server
(formerly
known as Flash Communication Server). There are many ways you can
develop and
use it for teaching language class. You are welcome to see the samples
from my
site http://media.dce.niu.edu

The sample FMS projects are listed under "FCS Projects". Most of them
have
audio/video communications, chat tools, simulation, and games. Students
can
record their voice on this too.

Greetings all,

I have installed the Flash Media Server demo in anticipation of getting
a Flash server approved for our development environment. Am laboriously

teaching myself Flash to create some groovy language projects, and am
currently hunting for input and inspiration from the cutting edge.

To this end, I'd welcome any examples of successful Flash-based projects

that folks would like to share on- or off-list. All are welcome, simple

to complex, a link would suffice. Thanks!

Ellen
