Birding highlights from the last few days include:

Lake Runnemede, Windsor, 4/26/07 (with Matt Medler):
Palm Warbler--5 or more, all easterns
Yellow-rumped Warbler-a small flock of 15 or so
Black-and-white Warbler--one singing
Pine Warbler--one singing
Bank Swallow--at least one mixed in with the Trees

West Windsor, 4/28/07 (with Matt Medler):
Broad-winged Hawk

Downers Four Corners, Ascutney, 4/28/07 (with Matt Medler):
Mockingbird--singing from near the gas station

Berlin Pond, 4/29/07:
Common Loon--pair
Hundreds of swallows over the water with many resting on the
telephone wires at the south end of the pond, including a significant
portion of CLIFF SWALLOWS (at least 20 just on the wires)

A second Louisiana Waterthrush has moved in near my house in
Hartland. Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Brown Creepers, sapsuckers, and
Yellow-rumpeds seem numerous or vocal most places I visit.
