>Subject: eBird Report - Elm Street Norwich Vt , 3/26/07

Location: Elm Street Norwich Vt
Observation date: 3/26/07
Notes: When I arrived home from work this afternoon my yard was swarming
with American Goldfinches. The count of 500 is a conservative count, there may
be several hunderd more! There were at least 250 right at the feeders in the
back yard and the trees all around my house were alive with the twitter of their
voices and movement! I have never seen so many in one place before. Guess it
was a good thing I filled all the feeders yesterday, it made our yard an
inviting place for so many birds!

Betsy Maislen
Norwich, VT
Number of species: 4

Black-capped Chickadee 12
Red-breasted Nuthatch 3
White-breasted Nuthatch 2
American Goldfinch 500
