Hi Samantha,

Judy is right on the money:). We do have such an agreement with Cheng
and Tsui (done in October 2005) and it is very specific. We first
purchased a site license to place the files on our server and then we
had it amended to allow us to place IC audio files on university-
owned iPods (no personal student iPods) that are all synched to one
computer in our locked and monitored lab. Since we maintain control
of the computer on which all these files reside (and students who use
our iPods no longer have access to the audio files on our streaming
server), students are not able to able to copy or transfer these
files to other devices. We worked with Lai Wong in the permissions
department to craft our agreement.

Hope this helps,
Barbara
