I sometimes need to look up the correct spelling of foreign words that
have been adopted into Japanese.

As a non-native speaker of Japanese, I find it difficult to guess how a
loan word is spelled in Katakana.

 

I've been using http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/wwwjdic_g.html for a
while now and find it really useful.  You can look up Japanese words in
Hiragana, Katakana or Kanji.  The dictionary works from English to
Japanese and Japanese to English.
