This functionality is built-in to the Sony Soloist Software Authoring Tools
set. The "Automatic Comparative Recording Editor (ACR) enables you to
create and execute comparative recording exercises automatically for
students.

ACR exercises created with the Soloist software automatically play segments
of the program material (audio/video), can automatically record student
responses, can re-play the program segment, can re-play the student
recording, and can repeat the process or continue to the next segment.

A count-down timer with different colors associated with play, record,
review, etc. give the student a visual indication of the time remaining for
each.

Student recordings can be automatically collected at the end of the exercise
with or without the recorded program material.

There are many other options available within the Sony Soloist software to
customize this tool for varying levels and applications. Please contact
SANS directly for more information on the complete set of authoring tools that
come standard with the Sony Soloist software. ([log in to unmask]).
