For "beginners" and practical ideas, I would highly recommend
- Bush M.D., Terry R.M. (1997) Technology Enhanced Language Learning,
The ACTFL Foreign Language Education Series, NTC ISBN:0-8442-9396-2
- de Szendeffy, J. (2005) Using Computer in Language Teaching, The
University of Michigan Press, ISBN 0-472-0304805
- Egbert, J. (2005) CALL Essentials, TESOL Inc. ISBN 1931185158

I was highly inspired with the three above for a CALL course I gave to
3rd year Bed TESOL students.

For research and theory :
- Ducate L and Arnold N. (2006) Calling on CALL (from Theory and
Research to New Directions in Foreign Language Teaching), CALICO, ISSN
1085-2999
- Warschauer, M. and Kern, R. (2000), Network-based Language Teaching:
Concepts and Practice, Cambridge University Press (applied linguistics)
ISBN 0-521-66742-9
- Chapelle, C.A. (2001) Computer Applications in Second Language
Acquisition, Cambridge University Press (applied linguistics) ISBN 0
521-62646-3

Hope this helps

I have been asked to identify textbooks that could be adopted for use in
our technology courses for pre-service teachers. We are hoping to
identify texts that deal primarily with incorporating technology in the
language classroom. Do any of my esteemed colleagues have any
suggestions that can help?

Thanks very much,
