The only Macs that will actually boot into a Windows system are the Intel
models, not G5. Where I've used Boot Camp to install Windows, I've not
noticed latency issues that could compare with those observed when running
Windows in emulation on a G5 using Microsoft's Virtual PC, but I've not
installed with less than 2G memory. I have also used the Parallels
virtualization software, and my experience is that the interface runs more
smoothly when using Parallels than when actually booting into the Windows
environment installed using Boot Camp. Intel virtualization technology is
quite impressive.
