SANAKO joins European eLearning Industry Group

SANAKO has become an affiliate member of the eLIG Group, the European e-Learning
Industry Group. The eLIG is an open consortium of leading ICT companies and
eLearning content providers who seek to promote eLearning throughout Europe, in
schools, universities, the workplace and homes. It was launched on 25 April 2002
in partnership with Mrs. Viviane Reding, European Commissioner for Information
Society and Media.
eLIG members represent a broad spectrum of sectors including Telecommunications,
Computing, Software, Educational Institutions, Publishing & Media, eLearning
Service Providers, Professional Associations, Research Institutes and Industry
Associations.

In addition to Sanako, other members include industry leaders such as the BBC,
Auralog, HP, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, SAP and Cisco Systems,
among others. The overall aim is for all European citizens - of all ages and
all walks of life - to benefit, and as a result for Europe to build on its
traditions of strong educational institutions to become a world eLearning leader
in the digital age.

Companies that enjoy membership in the eLIG are uniquely positioned to influence
the development and implementation of education policy throughout Europe, by
helping to shape government policy, participating in the development of the
market and standards and working on common projects. Membership also gives them
the opportunity to share their views at eLIG conferences and workshops, and to
gain access to the latest developments and market trends.

Andrzej Styrcz, Sanako's Regional Manager with responsibility for Emerging
Markets in Europe, says membership in the eLIG positions Sanako to become an
influential player in EU educational policy. "We can obtain valuable insights
on eLearning programs and related opportunities for business as well as
establish good working relationships to facilitate future contacts."

The eLearning Industry Group provides advice to the European Commission and
national governments in areas such as essential information technology and
telecommunications infrastructure, open standards to facilitate the exchange of
eLearning content, the development of a sustainable market for eLearning content
and the development of relevant professional and personal skills.

It works in close co-operation with public institutions such as governments,
schools and training institutions to help implement practical measures to deploy
eLearning in the community.
