That'd be great. I'm not familiar with darwin ports (now MacPorts) or  
Fink, so if other folks are happy to take care of stuff like that  
then that's a real help. I will try to get a gems distribution done  
for rubyforge (offers of help with that also gratefully received). I  
could also do a binary .mpkg if there's demand for that; I'm still  
new to Ruby myself so don't know what Ruby users like best.

The py-appscript port file will presumably be set up for Darwin Ports  
Python, so I don't know what'll need changed there. Presumably DP  
does its own Ruby distribution too, but I've no idea how similar or  
different the instructions for installing into that will be. You  
might want to look at some port files for Ruby modules and extensions  
as well to see how those work.
