Dear Lorraine,
I hope the layouts of our labs reached you well in their html format.
You can also see pictures of the dismantling of our tandbergs and
construction of our computer classroom here :
http://www.vuw.ac.nz/llc/about/projects.aspx#achi . Click on the
computer classroom, you should get a popup window with information about
the project + a little slideshow on the left-handside; you can also
click there to get bigger pictures..
You will then relate to the layout I sent you.
Hope this helps!

Thanks, Judi--
I just got back in the office and saw your posting. I'll follow up with
the company and would love to see photos of your lab. Thanks so much for
your response.
Lorraine

Hi Lorraine,

I highly recommend Electronic Classrooms West for furniture in
California (http://www.eclassroomwest.com/). Frank Springer was great to
work with and saved my lab remodel from disaster. They are based in
Pismo Beach but have reps around the state.

We have used a "cluster" configuration in our computer labs successfully
for many years. Our faculty told us in no uncertain terms that they did
not want rows of computers. They wanted the students to collaborate, and
they wanted to be able to walk around the room and observe and interact
as well. Let me know if you want to see pictures of our labs.

Judi
