>Subject: Course redesign

The National Center for Academic Transformation, Experts in improving learning
and reducing cost in higher education, ( see http://www.thencat.org/), has
identified three "course redesign" projects in Spanish * at the University of
Tennessee at Knoxville, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and
Portland State University * as being examples of the success of using technology
and instructional design to reduce the financial cost of the delivery of
language instruction while improving student learning.

Could anyone point me to external evaluations of these projects, formal reviews
by outside researchers, or even informal insights from those who are familiar
with these projects?

Thanks,
Bruce
