Job Title 
Instructional Technologist 

Description 
Washington & Jefferson College invites applications for the position of
Instructional Technologist. This full time position is responsible for serving
as a consultant to faculty in developing instructional uses of technology,
coordinating instructional technology support college-wide, researching
developments in the uses of technology in education and determining which
advancements will enhance the academic mission of the College, and providing
personal support to faculty and students on projects involving instructional
technology.

The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree (master's
degree preferred) and will possess a working knowledge of instructional
authoring tools, a general knowledge of multimedia computer hardware and
software, have experience with learning management systems like Blackboard,
possess the ability to write technical documentation, procedural guides,
planning documents, and conduct presentations, seminars and workshops. Prior
experience in a higher education environment is preferred.
