College of Arts and Sciences

 

 

Provides technical support and hands-on training to lab director,
instructors and students relating to lab equipment and software in the
Foreign Language Resource Center.  Maintains and manages the lab's
technical environment.  Performs basic troubleshooting of hardware and
software.   Interfaces with hardware and software vendors to resolve
technical problems.  Works with vendors/consultants to evaluate and
acquire new foreign language technology hardware and software and
multilingual and multimedia enhancements to desktop configurations.
Provides training in the use of authoring programs and provides support
for creation of multimedia projects.  Leads training sessions for
faculty and student employees, develops documentation and training
materials.

 

Associates Degree and 2+ years experience in an academic setting
required.  Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years experience in computer lab
administration and experience working in a foreign language lab
preferred.  Knowledge of a foreign language highly desirable.

 

Hours:  35 hours per week/52 weeks per year
