>Subject: French Assessment of Listening Proficiency pilot

Apologies for any cross-postings.

Dear colleagues,

The Center for Applied Second Language Studies (CASLS), a National
Foreign Language Resource Center (NFLRC), has developed an online
assessment of listening proficiency. This is known as the French
Assessment of Listening Proficiency (ALP) pilot test.

CASLS is recruiting teachers who would like to experience a
state-of-the-art assessment tool. Beginning November 18, 2005, this
pilot will introduce your students to real-life conversations and will
challenge them at their level (i + 1).

PLEASE NOTE: This assessment is appropriate for students from grades six
to twelve and all college levels.

For more information and to register your classes, please visit our
introductory site at http://casls-alp.uoregon.edu. Please do not
hesitate to contact me at the address listed below should you have any
questions.

Sincerely,

Angela Williams, CASLS Pilot Coordinator
