>Subject: monitoring student oral exercises in a lab

I have been asked to investigate whether there is any virtual language
lab software which allows an instructor in monitor function to both hear
and talk to a student while the student is responding to a canned
program, without toggling between "Listen" and "Talk". It is my
impression that programs all pause the canned file while the instructor
talks, and then the instructor has to return to "Listen" mode again to
hear the student's response, pausing yet again if he wants to "Talk"
again, etc. Is this correct?
