>Subject: An Introduction to Persian

We are now offering Persian language instruction for the first time,
and our new lecturer has brought us her set of (very old) cassette
tapes to accompany the book "An Introduction to Persian" by Wheeler
M. Thackston. From looking at the publisher's website
(http://www.ibexpub.com), this book was published in 1995.

Has anyone had success getting permission to digitize this? I have
contacted the publisher, but haven't yet received a response. In
anticipation of agreement, I'm looking for anyone who might already
have this material in digital form, and preferably edited. The audio
quality of the cassette tapes the instructor brought us is not good,
so I'm hoping to find a cleaner version.

Thanks!

Judi
