I own Mac OX 10.3. I have sent many such attachments. Many people who
have Windows always CAN open them. Others cannot. I believe that they
just don't know how, because I once or twice was next to the addressee,
and only I was able to have that "magic" hand to open them. I have
noticed that in order to open PDF files one needs Acrobat Reader 6.0
and later. There is more of a problem with rtf., because in most cases
the text (not in English) sent is displayed the wrong direction.

Best of luck!
