The Anderson Language Technology Center at the University of Colorado
at Boulder is seeking a Language Technology Specialist to collaborate
and assist faculty in creating multimedia instructional materials.

Responsibilities:

1.      Collaborate with faculty to create web-delivered multimedia language
instructional modules.
2.      Design instructional multimedia courseware and assess its
effectiveness.
3.      Provide user support by offering group and individual training
sessions on hardware, software and equipment operations.
4.      Serve as ALTEC liaison to faculty to promote its resources, services
and acquisitions.
5.      Research, identify and recommend new multimedia educational tools
and equipment for materials development.
6.      Administer the Foreign Language Technology Certificate Program
(organize workshops, coordinate speakers, supervise program enrollees
and conduct outcome assessment)
7.      Design and maintain the teaching technology content for the center's
website.
8.      Initiate new projects promoting the use and integration of
technology in teaching and research.

Qualifications:

1.      Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred in Educational
Technology, Instructional Design, CALL or a closely related field.
2.      Working proficiency in at least one foreign language.
3.      Familiarity with communicative language teaching pedagogy.
4.      Skills and experience teaching languages or software applications.
5.      Knowledge and skills in a variety of technology tools used in
teaching (e.g. WebCT, Dreamweaver, iMovie, PowerPoint, Flash, Final
Cut, Photoshop etc.)
6.      Strong interpersonal and verbal /written communication skills.
7.      Ability to work under time pressure with accuracy and diplomacy.
