The Department of European Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at SUNY
   Stony Brook is accepting applications for one to two positions to
begin in August
   2005 at at the rank of Lecturer. Ph.D. and proven expertise in French
is
   required.   Specialization open, but candidates should demonstrate
   commitment and ability to teach, particularly language courses at all
   levels. Candidates must be willing to engage in outreach activities.
   Deadline for application letters with three accompanying references is
   April 30th.     The University at Stony Brook is an AA/EOE

Stony Brook University is one of the doctoral degree granting campuses
of the
State University of New York system.  It is located on Long Island's
north shore,
60 miles from Manhattan.  Lecturers teach three courses a semester.
