>Subject: looking for Spanish Grammar/composition checker

We are looking for software suitable for intermediate students of Spanish
(third year and above) trying to improve their capabilities in writing
compositions and papers. Is there anything new in this area? What tools
have proved most effective for your students?

The hope is to find a program that can check a document, and give
significant guidance to the student in improving their composition, before
they submit it to the teacher. Guidance in proper grammatical usage and if
possible, some stylistic mark-up is desired. Our professors are hoping for
more than they get with the Spanish version of Microsoft Word. Another
target group is the returning students, and sometimes teachers, who feel
that they once were fluent, but need to brush up on their skills and reduce
the Anglicisms in their writing. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Derek
