I apologize for any cross-postings of this message between groups.
I'm a student at Toronto University, participating on a distance learning course
on advanced web technology.
Our professor has instructed us to install the free version of NetSnippets on
our PCs at home, and send results to the course website using it. NetSnippets is
a program used for gathering, organizing and sharing Web material.

I was wondering if it's considered to be normal to install at home free software
for collecting web material in the framework of a distance learning course? Do
you think this practice is desirable? A trend?

Thank you,
Eric Anderson
