We have an opening for a new full-time/permanent position in the Humanities
Resources/Language Resource Center area. Questions about this position can be

User Support Analyst in the Humanities/Language Division

Working directly with faculty, staff and students, the User Support Analyst
plans and implements the support of desktop computers for users of this area in
the Dartmouth community, including consulting and assisting users with language
specific as well as conventional computer software, operating systems, server
maintenance, computer hardware and peripherals.

Basic requirements include: Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent. Four to six
plus years experience in a computing environment or other relevant experience.
Experience in troubleshooting computer and computer-related problems. Experience
training others on the use of desktop computers and applications. Knowledge of
the operating characteristics of personal computers and core software. General
knowledge of computer networks and central computer systems. Knowledge of a
second language (basic reading and writing). Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills. Ability to organize and set priorities. Ability to work
independently. Ability to train individuals or groups on specific software
needs. Ability to maintain a calm demeanor while interacting with users.
