Very interesting and timely topic.
Our language lab has acquired, thanks to my cohort member, a new worldwide
videotape machine. We were able to view a videotaped french TV program,
and scan and project a TV guide summary, as well, for a French IV class.
The machine worked fine converting Secam to VHS. The programs were taped
by a friend of a friend, in France, and used solely in class for
educational purposes. The project went well and I have about eight others
in the series. We are legal right?
The more confusing issue is the DVD conversion-region factor. I have a DVD
of an interview (bookstore purchased in France), but it cannot be used or
viewed on our system----because we are a different region????
Is there a way to resolve this problem?
Our computer (with projector)has DVD player.
Thanks for any input.
New tag along....
