Dear Jennifer,

The best foreign language speech recognition implementation I know of is
that used by Tell Me More. The program exists for French (and a number of
other European languages) as a single stand-alone application as well as an
extensive multi-level networked program. Pronunciation practice, however, is
just one part of the program. For a dedicated pronunciation program, to my
knowledge the best is still the Rhythm of French. It is very comprehensive,
but does not use speech recognition. Jack
