Full-time Language Technology Specialist and Instructor

We seek a full-time Language Technology Specialist (starting July 1, 2005)
who would supply technological support and lead the integration of
technology into the teaching of foreign languages (Chinese, Japanese,
French, Spanish, Russian and German) and would teach two lower-level courses
of a foreign language (preferably Spanish) each year. This position also
involves managing instructional materials (e.g. hardware/software),
overseeing the Foreign Language Resource Center budget, and planning and
developing new facilities. Required: M.A. or Ph.D in a foreign language,
applied linguistics (SLA/lang. pedagogy) or related field; native or
near-native fluency in English and one other language, demonstrated interest
in language pedagogy, including design and use of new technologies
(computer-assisted instruction, interactive web-based resources, etc).
Knowledge of copyright issues preferred. Salary based on qualifications and
