I have been employed, part-time, under the title of "Language Lab
Administrator" for the past two years at Soka University of America.
During that time, I have played a major role in the design and
implementation of our brand new language lab and have managed nearly all
aspects of the lab. As noted, I have been employed part-time (no more than
twenty hours per week) and it now appears as if I may have the opportunity
to move into a full-time position. While many factors are at play, I have
just been asked by our dean to prepare a list of the amount of time I need
to perform my duties. Rather than preparing a list with the amount of time
I need to spend fully managing our lab, I have prepared a list of my
current duties and responsibilities. To make the matter even more
interesting, significant changes have recently occurred in our Language
and Culture Program (the department that oversees the operations of our
lab) and my duties are about to escalate significantly.

I am currently in urgent need of:

1. Developing a rather comprehensive list of responsibilities for my
position
2. Obtain a salary range for others in similar positions

FYI, Soka University of America is located in Southern California (where
the cost of living is exorbitant) and I am just a few courses away from
completing a second masters degree in Information Technology/System Design
and Programming. I have been an educator for many, many years - I already
hold an MA in Education.

Finally, the current draft of my job description (which I'm assembling) is
listed below. Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Most Sincerely,

Jeff
