The Language Acquisition Resource Center, at San Diego State University,
will offer a five-day workshop this summer on Online Language Testing.  The
workshop will survey the more than forty online testing tools currently
available (several designed for language testing), and will give
instruction and hands-on experience with some of the more useful and better
constructed tools.

Over the last several years, LARC staff have developed a speech testing
tool which allows online tests to be composed and given from a web server,
with results stored to that server for grading.  The tool is designed with
user-friendliness for student and faculty as a primary goal, and the
recording tool and testing tool will be given to all attendees.

The workshop dates are July 26-July 30.  For further information on this
