Gary,

If you are Mac OSX based the following information won't be of much use to
you, but others on PC platforms may interested.  We use a program called
DigiRez for our room/equipment booking needs. It is reasonably priced (225
Euros, about $275 when we purchased it last September). It's quite easy to
use and does exactly what you describe. It runs on Windows 98+ and, since it
is web-based, can be accessed by PCs as well as Macs. I would point out,
however, that there are some glitches on the Mac side due to problems with
Apple's implementation of Java (which affect many other applications as
