Suggestions for typing French accents in any Windows program can be found at http://www.uwgb.edu/wisfrench/media/accents.htm . Using the US International keyboard, the euro sign is ctrl-alt-5 (or right alt-5) -That is the alt key on the right side of the space bar-. Inverted Spanish punctuation is right alt / and right-alt 1 Ąż. The two can also be reproduced with ctrl-alt / and ctrl-alt 1. In windows XP, when you set up the US International keyboard, a keyboard icon should appear in the task bar. Going back and forth between keyboards is a click away. Super easy and great for encouraging accents in e-mail. Of course, accents can be garbled as they go through servers and software such as LLTI's digest processor even if you can type them easily.
