I too would like to hear the answer to your question as we will be in the
process of looking for a new lab in the near future where I work. Because
I have not immersed myself in the process yet, I could not say. But I was
impressed by the little I saw of the Sony presentation I saw at MAFLA this
weekend. I am sure that everyone has a selling point, but the Sony seemed
very flexible and powerful while relying on few if any proprietary
equipment. It was all digital using only ethernet cabling to a dedicated
server. I would love to hear the opinions of people on the street about
the latest generation of Sony.
