Director, Multimedia Language Laboratory
The selected candidate will be responsible for the operations of a
digital 
multimedia lab, devoted to the support of faculty and students, for 
innovative and pedagogically sound teaching/learning in the complete
range 
of languages taught within the Modern Languages Department (Chinese, 
French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish).  Duties include budget and 
project management, multimedia production, application support as
related 
to foreign language instruction, administration of course management
tools, 
Web development, technical support for non-Western languages, faculty
and 
student training, and the supervision of assistants and staff. 
Maintenance 
and updating of the language department$E2s computer lab is also 
expected.  In addition to the requisite technical, pedagogical, and 
managerial skills and experiences, the ideal candidate will possess 
credentials appropriate for appointment with faculty status (Ph.D. or
ABD). 
Preference will be given to candidates with credentials in at least one
of 
the language programs of the department.

To apply candidates should submit a letter of interest, vitae, statement

indicating how experience relates to qualifications, graduate transcript

and three letters of recommendation (sent directly from referees).
