I experienced similar problems from home where I run XP, and found (thanks
to help from Bob Majors), that I needed to 1) make sure I had the most
recent install of quicktime player and 2) changed the following quicktime
preferences:

Edit >> Preferences >> Quicktime preferences >> Streaming Transport - "Use
Http Port ID" (select "80").

Perhaps that will work.
