Greetings,

A faculty member here has been using MLS 4 (Multi Lingual Scholar) to
write a book in Greek. This is a DOS program that is no longer
supported. He needs help converting his MLS files into something more
current.

We have contacted the technical support person at Unitype Inc.. Gamma
Productions, the creator of MLS, no longer exists as a company, and the
technology has been carried forward another 2 generations by Unitype
Inc., which is some of the same people plus new people. He is no longer
able to support Gamma products but did have some suggestions. In brief
he suggested using the conversion utilities (CTIU) that come with MLS
and Universe 1.x (the following generation of software) to convert the
MLS files to Unicode files.

Does anyone have experience using CTIU and conversion tables to convert
MLS character codes to Unicode? Do you know of a person/place where we
can obtain a copy of Universe 1.x? Any information or suggestions you
have will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Maria
