Maria,

We have a copy of Universe 1.x around the lab somewhere, as well as at least
one version of MLS. I've never used the conversion utilities, and I don't
know how quickly I can lay hands on the software. But if you or your
colleague send me as an e-mail attachment a sample file to be converted to
Unicode, I'll see if I can help.
