TWO PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Temporary, Grant-Funded
The School of Education invites applications for two grant-funded positions
for a Title III project. Appointment and continuation of positions beyond
one year is contingent upon funding.
R18661 STAFF ASSISTANT/TECHNOLOGY DIRECTOR 75%
General Statement of Duties: Provide technology support and education for
teachers, student teachers, and Bilingual, English-as-a-Second Language, and
Multicultural (BEM) faculty as part of the Title III project. Develop and
maintain a comprehensive, interactive website to support instruction and
research. Instruct and support teachers, student teachers, and BEM faculty
to use technology in their teaching and learning. Recommend and purchase
software and equipment. Provide continuous troubleshooting assistance. Train
Technology Teaching Assistants.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science or related field. One to
three year's experience working in technology including interactive web
development and management, digital video editing, and installation,
configuration, of supporting hardware and software for Macintosh and Windows
platforms. Experience in higher education and/or research setting
preferable. 
Hiring Salary Range (at 75%): $23,475 - $30,225 Normal Starting Salary:
$23,475-$26,850 
R18662 STAFF ASSISTANT/PROJECT MANAGER
General Statement of Duties: Manage all functions of the Title III project
including budget, data collection, program and participant evaluation,
communication and project functions. Develop management plan. Manage and
maintain grant budget. Collect, maintain and perform analysis on collected
data. Facilitate communication between project, university and school
districts. Manage academic and licensure recordkeeping. Manage project
staff. Assist with evaluation of programs and participants. Collaborate with
principal investigators in report writing.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education, Management, or related
field. One to three year's experience in project management. Expertise in
developing management procedures, budget reporting and monitoring. Ability
to plan and organize large events. Supervisory experience, excellent written
and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Word, Excel, project management
and reference software required.
Hiring Salary Range: $31,300 - $40,300 Normal Starting Salary: $31,300 -
$35,800
