I posted about the Daewoo DVG-4000S from Target before. The manual,
which I finally got around to looking at says you can change a setting
whether you are using an NTSC, PAL, or Mutlistandard TV.

However, yesterday I borrowed a French Region 2 PAL DVD (Les
Miserables) from a French Professor here and to my surprise it plays
back beautifully. It is a 16/9 format DVD with 4/3 compatibility. I
didn't change anything with TV setting, just the region bypass that I
mentioned before.
