There are several DVD players out there that play both NTSC and PAL, and also players that will handle various region codes (e.g., the Panasonic DV533).  Playback works with nearly any projector (that plays NTSC, PAL, or SECAM).  Playback on a regular TV won't work, unless it's a multistandard TV (and usually quite expensive).

Most European DVD's are in a format other than that used in the US.   Does
anyone know how to get a fully-featured European DVD to play here in the
U.S.  By fully featured, I'm particularly interested, naturally, in the
multiple language and subtitle settings.  I reckon we cold buy
Euro-equipment, but barring that...?
