Horwood Language Centre

The Position: Applications are invited for the position of an
Associate Professor as Director of the Horwood Language Centre,
located within the School of Languages in the Faculty of Arts. The
successful applicant will be expected to make a strong contribution
to the academic leadership and management of the Centre.

The Person: You will have a PhD and an excellent teaching and
research record in an area of language acquisition, applied
linguistics, computer assisted language learning or related fields.
You will have demonstrated experience in the successful management of
projects, resources and people, be familiar with current practice in
the field of Technology Enhanced Language Learning and have a strong
publication record. You will also have demonstrated leadership
qualities and strong communication skills.

The Benefits: Salary AUD $81,293 - $89,561 p.a. (Associate
Professor/Reader Level D) plus employer superannuation contribution
of 17 percent. Salary packaging options and car parking on campus.

Employment Type: This is a full-time (continuing position). It would
be highly desirable for the successful applicant to commence 1 June
2003.
